Flow Family ID

What is a Flow Family ID?

A Flow Family ID is an essential tool for any advanced user of Ubu automations.

It functions as a filter, limiting access to any other flow sharing the same family ID.

In other words, if a participant enters a flow with the family ID '1234', they will not be able to enter another flow that has the family ID '1234' in the future.

Use Cases

You have set up several different flows:

  • One that triggers upon receiving a comment and asks the participant to join your community.
  • Another that triggers upon receiving a story mention and asks the participant to join your community.

You do not want the participant to receive the request to join your community twice.

Simply use the same flow family ID for both flows. Thus, when a participant enters the first, they will not be able to enter the second and vice versa.

This applies to all types of flows, both organic and broadcast.
